The Large Magna Rack Sliders Trays have been designed for gamers who like to store and transport their miniatures that have been magnetized.  Magnetized models allow you to store your miniatures upright protecting them from rubbing on other materials. Sliders allow for easy access to your models. And because they are completely removable you can go from tray to table and back again with ease.

All trays are made of heavy duty injected molded plastic with an attached durable metal sheet, ideal for magnetized models.  Magna Racks can be assembled in an endless number of configurations using the patented Magna Rack Spacer Legs.

Some assembly required.  For Magna Rack Assembly Instructions, please click here.

    Almost perfect

Posted by Ben on 2nd Feb 2023

Overall the system works very well with the trays and spacers provided. As another has mentioned, with larger miniatures it's possible you will have to stack multiple spacers together to allow for enough room for your larger miniatures; this could result in a 9" storage layer (6"+3" spacers combined) and a 2" storage layer only. The 2" layer is fine for "regular" 28mm scale infantry, but it is slightly too small for 28mm space marine infantry types. For 40k players with 2k+ point armies (with "centrepiece" models of 8"+), you will most likely want to skip this variant and go up to the 1520XL. My only criticisim of this system (hence not 5 stars) is that assembly was somewhat difficult - the plastic leg spacers (6" + 3") would not fully fit together to create 9" legs without sanding the thinner parts of the 6" leg spacers down slightly. One suggestion as well - it would be nice if the underside of the trays was metal lined too (maybe an alternative tray design?). With the aforementioned 9" deep layer not all of the vertical space is in use (I have two models on that layer at 7" and 8.5") and adding miniatures upside down above other smaller minis on that 9" layer would have been fantastic use of the remaining open space.

    As good as they say

A couple of friends have this model and recommend it. I ordered one at the UK Games Expo after speaking to Gemma who was super helpful. Everything about the transaction and delivery was perfect. So is my 720

Great idea and well designed but disappointing size

I have not had a good experience in the past with other types of model carriers. Foam based systems often constrict and catch on point parts of models which lead to breakages. Magnet racks seemed like a step in the right direction. Battlefoam was one of the few which both had a decent range and delivered to my country (the UK). I spent quite a bit of time researching which one to get. I knew I would need a decent amount of vertical space because I have some tall models (E.G. Warhammer 40k Knights or Mortarion). The video guides for these racks showed that it is entirely modular so you can build it with a shelf missing to give yourself more vertical room. I decided to get the PACK 720, which as far as I could tell, was the 2nd largest pack. This was already pushing close to £250 which is extremely expensive , but if it worked, then it should last me for life. and not ruin my models unlike foam alternatives. When it arrived, I was pleased with how easy it was to set up, how sturdy the frame structure is and also how well models hold to the racks ones you fix magnets to their bases. For example, I glued 4 1cm magnets to Mortarion and that was enough to keep him totally secure to the rack. I could turn it upside down or to the side and he wouldnt budge a bit. However my biggest problem now is in order to make room for such a large (vertically) model, I had to build the rack with only two shelves and the smaller one is so narrow, it can only fit the smallest of models such as small infantry. Long story short, if your model collection consists of mostly infantry models, these racks will probably serve you well . However, if you are like me and have quite a diverse range of models in terms of size, including tanks, monsters or titans, you are going to struggle to fit your army in these cases and make efficient use of the various shelves. I will still be using the rack (I paid £250 for it, I bloody well need too!) and trying my best to fit my armies in it, and it is an improvement over foam systems, but ultimately, I think for the price they are asking for these systems, they should have put more thought into the vertical space and accommodating larger models. Battle Foam Reply Thank you very much for your review Thomas. We noticed your concern about fitting larger models into the system and wanted to let you know that Magna Racks are completely modular. Legs can slot together to create taller spaces between shelves and shelves can be added or removed. Magna Rack Leg sets in heights 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 inches, can be purchased separately if and when required: https://uk.battlefoam.com/magna-rack-spacer-leg-set/ Individual Magna Rack Trays can also be purchased separately: https://uk.battlefoam.com/large-individual-magna-rack-2-0-slider-tray/ If you decide that you need a larger case P.A.C.K 1520 holds 21.5 inches of the, same sized, Large Magna Rack System, wheeled with handle, it is designed to fit under a standard table top and opens like a mini fridge: https://uk.battlefoam.com/p-a-c-k-1520-xl-molle-bag-empty/ Thanks again and if you have any questions please let us know via infouk@battlefoam.com Battle Foam
